Shayla Gibson
Hello Everyone! My name is Shayla Gibson and I am a sophomore at New Mexico State University in the college of Agriculture and Home Economics. I grew up on a small farm/ranch in Fence Lake, New Mexico and I graduated from Quemado High School in Quemado, New Mexico. When I came to New Mexico State University in the Fall of 2006 I knew that I wanted to be in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences because agriculture had always been a part of my life. However, I had always had an interest for the business side of the world. This is why I chose to major in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business. I soon found out that the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences was very welcoming and had so much to offer.
The college provides a very welcoming experience to everyone. The professors and faculty members provide so much support and make students feel like they are at home. I cannot think of a better place to pursue my education and reach my goals than at New Mexico State University.
