My name is Ashley Lama and I am a senior at New Mexico State University. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and now live in Las Cruces. After attending a few other universities, I decided to come back to my hometown area and attend NMSU. I started my college career wanting to be a vet, but soon decided against that. Even though I wasn’t planning on going on to vet school, I decided that I should still major in Animal Science. I am so glad I decided to stay in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (CAHE). The classes are small and personalized. Everyone in the CAHE is very friendly, from the professors and staff to the students. There’s no other place I would rather be.
