College Survey Review Committee
College Survey Review Committee
All research surveys in the College of Agriculture and Home Economics must be reviewed by the College Survey Review Committee and approved by the Dean before they can be submitted to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for approval to use human subjects in research. The committee's objectives are to ensure:
- Surveys will achieve their intended goals
- The proposed research methodology meets usually accepted standards
- The burden on respondents is minimized
- University regulations have otherwise been satisfied
A survey review packet can be obtained from Pam Robeson, Agricultural Biometric Service (ABS) at 646-5960 or by visiting her in Gerald Thomas Hall, Room 100. The related link below will also take you to a site with the forms necessary for survey review and accompanying information on the survey review process.
To initiate a survey review, bring the packet back to Pam Robeson with a copy of the survey, the top of the College Survey Review Committee Recommendation filled out, and the Survey Design Summary filled out. The rest of the forms in the packet are for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) review.
After a successful survey review, Agricultural Biometric Service (ABS) will also secure approval of the survey research from the Dean and forward the packet to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for their required approval to use human subjects in research.
