Katie Cox is currently a junior at New Mexico State University in the College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES). She is an Animal Science major with the ambition to go to Vet School and become a small animal Veterinarian. Katie is from Albuquerque, NM and chose to come to NMSU because of the wonderful Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary program and in-state tuition. She loves NMSU because the teachers are more than willing to help her reach her goal and she loves working with the animals. She loves the hands-on practice offered by the college and the new experiences that she encounters daily.

Katie did not grow up on a farm in Albuquerque, and she was originally worried that coming to an agriculture school would be a difficult transition. In her time at NMSU, she has felt extremely at home in the Animal Science department working with the livestock and her teachers. She is very proud to be an Ambassador for the college of ACES and cannot wait to become more involved with the teachers and her peers.
