Pate Chavez

Pate Chavez is a 20 year-old junior that is majoring in Agriculture Extension & Education under the teaching option. Pate was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico and was raised on a small family ranch in Garfield, New Mexico. He chose to come to NMSU and the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) to further his education in Agriculture and to be in the friendly, success promoting atmosphere here at NMSU. Pate became an Ambassador for the College of ACES this year because he wants to develop himself as a leader and wants to help others make a decision on what path they want to take in the future. He also hopes to have a positive influence on many young adults this year as he talks to them as an Ambassador and recruits them to NMSU and the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences.
