The activity can be a one-semester activity or a long-term activity that has benefited the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture. The award in not limited to members of the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences but can include people outside the department that have worked closely with the department to benefit the department.
The award shall be given for a single, extraordinary activity, such as student club supervision, faculty senate, or other special programs. The award shall be given for one specific activity, not a combination of activities or general service. Recipients may receive the award for different activities, but one candidate can receive no more than one award every two years.
