the Syngenta Agricultural Scholarship program, which is open to eligible university students pursuing bachelor's or master's degrees in crop-related disciplines. PART TIME JOB OPENING IN LOCAL LANDSCAPE COMPANY Tierra Verde Landscapes has a position available for a horticulture student, preferably someone planning a future career in the landscape industry, who is in need of an internship in order to fulfill the academic requirements for their degree or otherwise gain some hands-on experience in the field before graduating. The position is for part time work during the school year and full time work during the summer, with the potential for continued long-term employment. The position is entry-level, but it will provide the student with valuable real world experience in the field before graduating. The job will also provide the student with the opportunity to gain some of the necessary experience they will need to someday obtain a commercial pest control and/or irrigation contractor�s license in the state of New Mexico, and will benefit aspiring landscape designers by giving them a look at many landscapes (good and bad) and how those landscapes are affected over the long term by exposure to the elements. Pay level dependent on past work experience and academic level. Previous classroom experience in entomology/plant pathology relating to ornamental plants and/or field experience with landscape pest and weed control is a plus.
