Sarah Lopez
Sarah is currently a junior at NMSU majoring in Animal Science/ Pre-Veterinary medicine. She is from the small town of Stanley, NM near Moriarty which is east of Albuquerque. Sarah grew up on a large cattle and horserace ranch in Longhorn, NM and has always dreamed of being a Veterinarian. In high school she was active in FFA and 4-H, showing steers and sheep as a hobby. Coming from an NMSU alumni family, she has always known that she was going to attend New Mexico State University. Sarah chose NMSU for many good reasons. She knew that with the in-state tuition and the lottery scholarship that she could pursue her carrier path. The agricultural college has a very open and welcoming atmosphere with an approachable staff, and animals on site to study with. She is very excited to be an Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) Ambassador for the 2009-2010 school year. She hopes to gain leadership experience and develop a better understanding of the New Mexico State University and the college and everything they have to offer.
