Dr. Mandabach holds an Ed.D. in Education from the University of Houston, an M.S. in Hospitality Management, University of Houston, Conrad Hilton College, and a B.S. in Hotel / Restaurant Management, St. Edwards University.
Dr. Mandabach teaches HRTM 410 Hospitality Cost Control, HRTM 420 Club Management, HRTM 412 Beverage Management and HRTM 450 Food and Wine Pairing. His research interests are in culinary education, restaurant and bar management, the use of technology in restaurants, the history of culinary arts, ethics and media influences on the food industry.
I am a Certified Chef and hospitality educator at New Mexico State University with a Doctorate in Education committed to making a difference in my community. I have over twenty years-experience as a practitioner in the industry and 16 years as an award winning researcher and educator. I have a passion for teaching, research and community development. My students and university duties are my top priority. I speak regularly at academic meetings and industry conferences.
