Aggies Go Global is now launching the second Women's Economic Leadership Scholar program to India! This program provides NMSU ACES undergraduate and graduate students to have a global conference experience. They will participate in the Women’s Economic Forum Conference, which is designed to empower and lift up the voices of women. Combined with leadership workshops, learning how to engage in the local and global community and spending 11 days in India on a non-credit program, selected participants will have the opportunity to learn how to become a Global Citizen Leader. Selected students will be attending the Women's Economic Forum Conference and will have the opportunity to learn how to become a global citizen leader.
A female ACES college undergraduate or graduate student
Interested in learning how to be a global leader
Graduating no earlier than Fall 2018
In good standing with the university
Completed at least one semester at NMSU Las Cruces campus with a 3.0 GPA or higher
18 years or older at time of application
8 students will be selected to participate as a Women's Economic Leadership Scholar. Selected students will participate in leadership activities, learn more about how to become a global citizen, spend 11 days in India with Ms. Claudia Trueblood and Ms. Kayla Myers. Students will have the opportunity to be leaders among their classmates, and network while experiencing the wonders of India. The cost to the student selected is $1550. This includes your flight, but does not include passport, dinners and spending money while abroad.
First two nights Accommodations will be in double rooms at the five-star Suryaa Hotel in New Delhi. In Agra, we will be staying at the Jaypee Palace. The remainder of the time we will be three to a room at the conference hotel Taj Dwarka.
Language Requirement - There is no language requirement for this program.
Health and Safety - Students should always practice good personal security and situational awareness. Be aware of your surroundings (including local customs and etiquette) and keep a low profile.
Complete the Women's Economic Forum Application by November 11th and email to Kayla Myers at email@example.com . 8 students will be selected to participate in the program only, and will be decided by the end of November.
