The 2016 Beef Cattle Symposium will be held at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds at 30100 US-160, Cortez, CO from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Registration is $25 and includes lunch and materials if done before Feb. 18.

The San Juan Basin Extension Beef Cattle Symposium has become a tradition in SW Colorado and NW New Mexico. Educational programs are important to help us sustain this way of life.

This year's symposium will primarily focus on reducing inputs and increasing outputs. There will be something of interest in this area for everyone who is involved or planning to be involved in beef production.

The 23rd Annual Inavasive Ag Weeds Symposium will be held at McGee Park at 41 Rd 5568, Farmington, NM from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Registration is $30 and if received before Feb. 29, will include lunch.
The symposium has become a tradition in SW Colorado and NW New Mexico. Educational programs are important to help us sustain this way of life.

The focus of the 2016 Symposium will be agricultural weed management and the control of invasive species. The program provides Continuing Education Credits for Pesticide applicators for both Colorado and New Mexico. Youth Get Away is April 22-24, 2016 at Cook Canyon Camp, Ruidoso Downs, NM for Novice and Junior Members.

Registration opens March 1, and usually fills up that day. You will need to have your registration in to the Extension Office by February 15, 2015 so we can make arrangements for chaperones. Registration fees are $135 for campers and chaperones.

New Mexico State University and the New Mexico Department of Agriculture will host the annual Fruit Growers' Workshop Friday, March 4, at the Santa Fe County Fair Building, 3229 Rodeo Road, in Santa Fe.
