Meet The Staff

Wendy V. Hamilton
Wendy V. Hamilton

Aside from receiving immense pleasure from designing program evaluation tools and writing grant proposals, Wendy Hamilton, is otherwise quite normal. Her career has been grounded by Cooperative Extension Service positions in six counties across four states. She has held numerous positions from 4-H volunteer leader, 4-H agent, home economics agent, interim agriculture agent, EFNEP specialist, home economics specialist, interim 4-H director, interim county director, 4-H youth-at-risk specialist, program and staff development department head, to program development and accountability specialist. Her current duties include federal, state and local impact reporting, special project assignments, grant writing, program assessment and development specialist for chile pepper institute fundraising. While Wendy thoroughly enjoys the interface with faculty and staff she also loves to garden and travel.

Albina Armijo
Albina Armijo

In her 17 years at NMSU (the last 13 with Cooperative Extension), Albina has worn many hats, working with several department supervisors and some simultaneously. As well as taking classes for credit, Albina continues learning new software, conference planning techniques, and editing and grammar updates. She takes advantage of any short course or workshop offered by the university and/or the college that will help enhance her job skills. Her expertise is in creating, editing and formatting Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, posters and booklets; and in meeting and conference planning. She is proud to say that she is totally fluent in both English and Spanish. Born and raised in Las Cruces, Albina lived in other cities and states before returning home. When the time is right for retirement, she plans to enjoy country living with her grandchildren in Colorado.
