Alf graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's in Animal Industry in 1973. Self employed dairy farmer for 9 years. Worked as a milk inspector for Ohio Department of Health for two years, and two years with Milk Marketing Incorporated (milk cooperative in the north east). He moved to New Mexico in 1990 as a state rating officer and milk inspector. Alf was made bureau chief in 1995 with NMDA and division director in 2007. Alf loves his work and his duty to public health as a milk/food inspector. He feels he has the best inspection team in the United States and they all do their jobs meticulously, which makes his job easy! He must also compliment the NM milk industry as they work closely with all of us and "they" want to make the safest food in the world!
