Chris Delgado is a facilitator in the Family Wellness program through the NMSU Strengthening Families Initiative. Chris received his education at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. Chris has a Bachelors degree in Social Work and went on to receive his Masters in Social Work in 2007 and is currently licensed as a Licensed Masters Social Worker.
Chris is no stranger to working with parents and families to increase their strengths/skills having spent the last couple of years working with the Family Wellness program since 2007. Before working with the Family Wellness program at NMSU, Chris worked as the Male Involvement Coordinator with La Clinica De Familia's Early Head Start program and Healthy Start program. He was responsible for educating teenage parents and serving as an assistant mental health consultant for children 0-3 years of age. Chris was also involved with the fatherhood groups through Early Head Start which promoted fathers being involved with the development of their children and how the fathers themselves impact their families.
Chris lives here in Las Cruces with his wife, Melissa, and daughter Mila.
