Time Frame: Growing season
The Library was remodeled in 2008 requiring a much needed and low maintenance landscape. The librarian asked that I become involved in the project. I agreed only if the library provided space for Xericscape and gardening literature. In addition, I’ve been able to speak to those who see me working and weeding. The Friends of the Library have given me the opportunity to share Master Gardener knowledge in one of their Sunday Salons.
Garden Path
Column appears in Jemez Thunder twice a month.
Since becoming a Master Gardener, the publishers of the Jemez Thunder agreed to include my gardening column in each issue. This has given me the opportunity to not only educate the public but, more importantly, advertise the various Sandoval County Master Gardener programs.
