Hotline

SCMG provide an information desk for homeowner's horticultural questions from March through October each year. Homeowner's are encouraged to call the Sandoval County Extension Office (505-867-2582). A Master Gardener will be on hand to discuss plant problems, insect invasion, fertilizer requirements, or pesticide questions. SCMG can also direct homeowner's to pertinent information about their specific situation.

The 2010 Hotline schedule:

Starts: March 8 thru October 29

Monday / Wednesday / Friday
9:00 AM to 12 Noon AND 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Tuesday & Thursday:
1:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Please Note: If you are a SCMG, you can schedule Hotline Volunteer Hours by calling the Sandoval County Extension Office, 867-2582; ask for Elizabeth. SCMG have 8 months to obtain this 9 hour requirement. Staggering hotline visits enables SCMG to encounter a variety of questions that come in to the office throughout the growing season. Each part of the year brings a different set of growing opportunities, insects and watering requirements. See how the community reacts to the beginning, middle and end of the growing year.
