Publicity, Advertising, and Communication
The SCMG organization’s preferred means of internal communication is e-mail. For this reason, it is important that you notify Elizabeth Hackett when you change your e-mail address. It may also be necessary to change your Internet security settings so the Sandoval County Extension Office e-mail address (sandoval@nmsu.edu) is viewed as “safe” and not as “spam”.
Volunteer Opportunities:
1. If you have good PC skills and are familiar with MS Front Page, you could maintain the SCMG web page.
2. You could write articles for the SCMG newsletter. Articles and volunteer hours must be pre-approved by Jennise Phillips and Rudy Benavidez.
3. You could maintain the Publicity binder. We need copies of articles and advertisements placed in the local newspapers. Most of these newspapers can be accessed online. If you have a PC and access to the internet, this is a volunteer opportunity that can be done from home.
4. You could distribute flyers. Flyers are generally distributed once a month. We currently need volunteers to distribute flyers in Rio Rancho, Bernalillo and Corrales.
5. You could help Janet Wilder pass along information to veterans and trainees who do not have an e-mail account.
