SCMG Projects

Children's Water Festival 2008 Rio Rancho

SCMG projects involve many aspects of connecting with the community through our horticultural backgrounds. Since Sandoval County is one of the largest counties in New Mexico the activities are as varied as each area of the county.

Grower's markets, plant clinics, county fair participation, harvest festivals, apple festivals and much more occupy the time and energy of SCMG volunteers throughout the year. SCMG also work with city and county governments to provide horticultural programs deemed beneficial to the communities.

Project Chairs can print attendance sheet for use at SCMG events and programs involving master gardener volunteers.

Project and Descriptions

Note to 2012/2013 Project Chairpersons:

SCMG Project descriptions are needed for both the Web site and to provide documentation for the 2013 Intern Training Class. Currently, we have only Project protocols listed online for chairpersons. Those will be replaced by the Project descriptions for volunteers.

Project Chairpersons: Please check to see if your project is listed below. If not, please send Sandy Liakus a brief description of your project using the SCMG Project Description for Volunteers document format (below).

If your project is listed on this Web site, please update your project description using the new format.

(Note: The personal contact information you provide on the form will not appear on the Web site. Sandoval County Cooperative Extension will be listed as the email and telephone contact.)

SCMG Project Description for Volunteers form: Please download the form below. The PDF can be filled in on your computer using the Sign document option of Adobe Reader. One can also easily copy and paste the simple format into Word and complete.

The preferred return method is email, so as to avoid having the webmaster re-type the completed forms. Email completed form(s) to the SCMG Coordinator, Sandy Liakus, via sandoval@nmsu.edu. For those who choose to mail their form, please send to Sandoval County Cooperative Extension, Attn: Sandy Liakus, PO Box 400, Bernalillo, NM 87004. Thank you.

Please email Project Description form to Sandy Liakus via her personal email address (you should have it on the roster) or via Sandoval County Cooperative Extension's email address below.
