Personal Biography

I am an ecologist with the Center for Applied Spatial Ecology with the New Mexico Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit (NMCFWRU) in the Department of Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Ecology at New Mexico State University. I am also Director of New MexicoView. My research interests included Southwest riparian ecosystems, amphibians and reptiles, and spatial ecology. My work has been focused on deductive and inductive habitat modeling, the ecological role of fire within southwestern ecosystems, desert spring ecology, and projects focusing on ecological context, conservation, ecosystem services, alternative futures, and biodiversity.

I am a research associate professor with the New Mexico Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit and the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Ecology and hold an adjunct appointment in the Department of Animal and Range Sciences.
