eSource: MS Word: AutoCorrect Tool
The AutoCorrect feature in MS Word automatically corrects many common typing and spelling errors, and can also insert text automatically for you.
Access AutoCorrect by selecting the File>Options>Proofing>AutoCorrect Options. Use this feature to add commonly misspelled words and entering commonly used phrases. For example, if you often type College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences, enter a shortcut (such as ACES) to the Replace field and College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences in the With field. Every time you type ACES it will be replaced with the non-abbreviated title.
Make sure Replace text as you type is selected.
