Dear College Faculty and Staff Members:
In 2006 I launched a visioning process for the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at New Mexico State University. As part of this process, a number of focus groups met, representing the various constituents of the college. One of the issues raised was the name of the college. As a result, a seven-person team was selected and charged to review the current and alternative names for the college in a process that is inclusive of faculty, staff, and stakeholders of the college.
I stipulated that the name of the college would not be changed unless there was a compelling reason to do so. I also indicated that any change in the name must be backed by documented support by faculty, staff, and stakeholders of the college. The College Name Review Team devised a survey to solicit your input on the matter. You may share this link with others, if you wish. Please click the link below to access the survey.
