The Digital Recording Studio is available for faculty and staff to record and edit digital files that can be posted as Podcasts on iTunesU or on WebCT. Sound Studio, GarageBand, ProfCast, and iMovie are a few of the programs available to use for digitizing files. Additional resources are available on eSource.

Equipment

Sound Studio
You may use this program for recording and editing audio digitally; this will be done by recording live lectures and/or notes to create a Podcast show.

iMovie
Capture live footage with the iSight camera directly into iMovie. Save your completed video podcast (vodcast) as a QuickTime movie or iPod ready format.

GarageBand
Create a podcast episode by recording audio and convert your recording to an MP3 file by exporting to iTunes.

ProfCast
ProfCast is a simple tool used to record audio lectures into a PowerPoint presentation. It is as simple to use, as launch, load, record, and publish.

Provide ACES Technology Help Desk with:
a. The day and time you would like to reserve the room (scheduled in two hour intervals)
b. The program you will be using and if you will need training on the program
