About me: I have three children and spent their younger years at home with them as a "stay-at-home mom". I thoroughly enjoyed that time in my life. As my youngest children grew older, I decided I wanted to get back into the work force. So, I applied to the Marriage and Family Therapy program in the FCS dept at NMSU. I enjoy listening to people talk about their journey in life and I enjoy working with children using play therapy, so becoming a mental health therapist is a good fit for me. I have been employed as a graduate assistant for the past year and a half at the Family Resource Center where I have enjoyed getting to know culturally-diverse NMSU student parents and their precious children! I enjoy working at the FRC, overseeing the student interns as they lead the children's programs and interacting with the families!

About me: I am currently in a first year student in the Marriage and Family therapy Graduate program. I am honored to experience the diversity and interactions that the NMSU Family Resource Center has offered. I believe that education and support are fundamental to helping families create and maintain healthy relationships. I plan to pursue my education to better advocate for children and their families.
