Fall 2014 Programs
We offer activities for parents and children ranging in age from birth - 36 months. This program offers parents a time where they can bond with their child as well as have time with other parents. Parents and children make new friends and and learn skills to strengthen the parent-child relationship. . Activities included arts and crafts, games, music time, snack time and story telling.
Parent Tot Time is held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:00pm-1:00pm.
The Preschool Play program is designed for children ranging in ages 3 - 5 years old. Children will enjoy making new friends and participating in a variety of arts and craft activities as well as imaginary play. Some of the other activities include games, singing, and playing outside.
Preschool Play is held Monday and Fridays from 9:30am-11:30am.
After School Program
The After School Program is designed for children ages 6 and up. We have planned a different activity for every program date! After School Program is held Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00pm -5:00pm.
Park Play for ages 6-up Fridays at Presidio Park.
Fun Family Activities
Come and join us for our fun family activities. It is important to have quality family time together to nurture and strengthen the family bond and relationships. We help create solid relationships among members of the family by offering fun-filled and engaging activities. Please look at our monthly calendars for our upcoming family activities.
October 25th Family Fun will consist of a hike at Dripping Springs, call the center for more details.

Marriage & Family Therapy
-Are you struggling with a relationship problem? -Are you tired of going in circles around an issue? -Are you exhausted and want to improve your relationship? If so, we can provide you with the knowledge and understanding of how relationships work and how problems can be resolved even in the most challenging situations.
Marriage and Family Therapy is offered during Fall and Spring semesters only
We work in conjunction with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) supplemental nutrition program. Currently, they provide services two days a week. Two nutrition educators certify families for WIC benefits, evaluate the client's growth and levels of iron, analyze nutrient intake and provide nutrition education. The NMSU WIC office is open Mondays and Fridays from 8:00-5:00pm (closed from 12:00-1:00 for lunch).
Family Referral Services
Along with all of the trials and tribulations that we face in today's society, raising a child to his or her full potential is no easy task. Our goal is to provide the families we serve with the resources they need. We offer information regarding community services and families decide which specific provider to choose. Some of the information we provide includes child care providers, community agencies, stores and restaurants that are located in the surrounding area.
Backpacks for Kids
Every August the FRC and the Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AFCS) work together to collect school supplies and monetary donations to provide the children of NMSU students with backpacks and supplies for the coming school year.
Liability Release Form
The Liability Release form is only required when the FRC is having an activity in a location other than the FRC. The FRC staff will notify parents when a Liability Release Form is necessary!
