New Mexico Agroecosystems Innovation Endowed Professorship
In light of the need for developing new holistic crop management strategies, and potential new crops, in the face of limited natural resources-especially water, the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences and the New Mexico State University Foundation have established the New Mexico Agroecosystems Innovation Endowed Professorship at New Mexico State University. The endowment will be funded through the merger of the previously existing funds contained in the Small Farm Institute Endowed Chair and the Onion Improvement Endowed Chair. Additional gifts may be made to this fund at any time.
The title of the fund shall be the New Mexico Agroecosystems Innovation Endowment and the income shall be used to enable and support the Semi-arid Crop Systems Innovation Program at the discretion of the Director of this program. The Director of the program serves at the discretion of the AES Director.

- Must be in the Plant and Environmental Science Department and ranked as a full professor.
- Must have at least ten years of post-graduate experience.
- Must have an academic record of both lower and upper division along with graduate course teaching.
- Preference would be towards a professor that has been actively engaged in teaching, research, and other scholarly activities related to teaching and research, as evidenced by publications, presentations related to teaching and research at professional meetings or workshops, and teaching improvement activities.
