Letting go and seeing it safely out the door
Eventually, you have to call it quits. The proposal is done to the best of your ability. It s time to send it to the funding agency. But first, there are several important steps that have to be taken before the proposal can be shipped to the funding source. You do not have to do these things yourself, but you do need to allow enough time for them when writing your proposal.
- After you finish writing the proposal, you must give it to the Pre- Award Office (GT 238). All budgets for research proposals must be checked before being submitted.
- The Pre-Award office will ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained.
- The The Pre-Award Office will forward the finalized proposal to the office of Grants and Contracts. OGC will make all required copies and mail them to the funding agency or foundation.
