The purpose of this CD-ROM is to give suggestions to create beautiful landscapes and gardens that don't require a lot of water to maintain. It has valuable information concerning city water ordinances, water resources, and planting tips. The CD-ROM also has a searchable plant database.
With the database composed of over 400 plants, this program was designed to be relevant to both homeowners and professionals in the desert Southwest. For example, the database can be searched by the common name of the plant or by its scientific name. Basic information regarding each plant is provided (such as water needs and size) as well more advanced information such as potential growing problems. While using the database, a homeowner can search photos of each of the plants as there are well over 600 color photos on the CD-ROM.
