Daniel Hired as Colfax County 4-H Agent

Michael Daniel began work recently as the Colfax County 4-H agent for New Mexico
State University's Cooperative Extension Service.
Daniel, a Springer native, will coordinate 4-H programs for the six clubs in Colfax County. He also will recruit and train volunteer project leaders.
Daniel hopes to participate in agricultural awareness programs in local schools, including the 4-H Egg to Chick program that introduces children to the birth process of a baby chick.
He comes to NMSU from Maxwell High School where he served as an agricultural instructor for three and a half years. He also has worked in the Colfax County Extension office as a program assistant during the summer.
Daniel received his bachelor's degree in agricultural and Extension education from NMSU in 1991 and his master's degree in animal science from Colorado State University in 1993.
In college, he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and received the Dean's Award of Excellence at NMSU. He also received the Class of 1919 Scholarship Award.
