Claudia Trueblood is the Director of the New Mexico Agricultural Leadership program (NMAL). The program is designed for people in the New Mexico food, agriculture and natural resources industries. NMAL aids participants in the development of leadership skills so that they can become stronger and more effective leaders in their industries and communities. NMAL provides participants with direct experiences and interactions with a variety of businesses, social settings and political environments, both domestically and internationally. Participants must be 25 years or older, New Mexico residents and involved in New Mexico agriculture.

Prior to being with NMAL, Claudia worked with the Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces for twelve years ending with a two year term as Executive Director of Catholic Charities. Between 2012 and mid-2014 she served as Coordinator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Science Education programs in the Department of Biology at NMSU.

Claudia's educational background reflects her interest in multidisciplinarity. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a M.A. in Communication Studies from NMSU, and a M.S. in Water Science and Management also from NMSU.
