Participant Information

Congratulations on being accepted to this year's New Mexico Youth Ranch Management Camp (NMYRMC). We look forward to an intense week of education and fun.

The camp will be held from Sunday, June 5th through Friday, June 10th at the CS Ranch Headquarters in Cimarron, New Mexico.

Lodging for participants will be at the Cimarron Inn & RV Park, room/cabin assignments will be made upon arrival. Participants will be shuttled throughout the week with all activities taking place on the CS Ranch.

Arrival and Departure Information (CS Ranch Headquarters)
Directions: I-25 North to Exit 419 (Cimarron Exit), go west on HWY 58, the turn-off is located on the left between mile marker 6 and 7.

Arrival Time: Sunday, June 5th, 3-5 pm (supper provided)
Departure Time: Friday, June 10th, 5 pm

Liability, Medical and Media Release Form
Complete, sign and email the Liability, Medical & Media Release Form (300-A.3) to sserna@nmsu.edu or fax to 575-646-7042 by May 29th.

If you have food allergies or special dietary needs, email sserna@nmsu.edu with details.

What to Bring
The camp will be in the mountains and weather will be cooler and possibly some inclement weather. All meals and snacks are provided although participants are welcome to bring additional snacks. Some rooms and cabins are equipped with small refrigerators.

Mobile Devices, Laptops/Tablets & Resources
Mobile phone coverage is extremely limited, however, participants are welcome to bring mobile phones and network cards (or similar devices) for Internet access. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring a laptop/tablet. Laptops/iPads will be provided for team projects with Internet access. This will assist in the preparation of the ranch management plan, as each participant will be assigned to a team and present a ranch management plan on the final day.

Dress Code
Camp participants should be prepared for outdoor activities and dress appropriately. NO sandals, open-toe shoes or shorts. Participants will receive a long-sleeve shirt to wear on Friday for final presentations.

Final Presentations
Each team will present their Ranch Management Plan on Friday, June 10th, beginning at 9 am. Presentation order will be determined on Thursday night.

Family members are welcome to attend with lunch for two (2) guests per participant provided at no cost. A $10 meal fee will be charged for each additional guest. Payment by check, credit card or cash can be made on Friday. Complete the Online RSVP Form or email Sonja Jo at sserna@nmsu.edu with the total number and names of guests attending.
