Foreign Technology Transfer Reports
The Afghanistan Water, Agriculture, and Technology Transfer Program (AWATT) was a three-year project to improve communities and farm-level management in Afghanistan by providing training on irrigation water management, agricultural technology, and new crop varieties. Dr. Hamdy Oushy, associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business, worked directly with the Afghanistan Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock as well as Afghan farmers to provide hands-on training, conduct crop variety trials, and establish forage demonstration plots and seed production sites.
The following reports summarize much of the work conducted by Dr. Oushy and the AWATT team. Also included are various training materials and fact sheets that were created as part of the AWATT program.
