Preparing Your Business to Respond and Recover from a Food Borne Illness Incident

May 09 , 2012
Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

RoadRunner Food Bank of New Mexico Conference Center
    5840 Office Blvd, NE
    Albuquerque, NM 87109   (map)
    (505) 349-8825

The goal of the workshop is to present steps that other food industry producers/processors/agencies have used to prepare response and recovery plans in advance of an incident. Federal and state investigators have been invited to discuss how the investigation process is conducted and there will be time for frank and open discussions. The agenda is being finalized, but we are asking you to save the date on your calendars. Our guest speaker will be Stephen Patricio. Stephen is the President and CEO of Westside Produce and the Chairman of the Center for Produce Safety. He will be discussing the effects of the Listeria outbreak in cantaloupes and steps growers are taking to recover from business lost.

How ready are you if the next food borne illness affected your business? And how ready is your local community to deal with the spillover of the economic effects and the possible loss of jobs.
