Principal Investigator: Bernd Leinauer, Turfgrass Specialist
Department: Extension Plant Sciences
Description: The Shortages of potable water in the southwestern United States has set limits on expectations and availability of water for nonessential uses such as landscape irrigation. Opportunities exist to utilize othr sources of groundwater as alternative irrigation sorces. This project will investigate the sustainability and quality of cool and warm season grasses in the desert southwest when irrigated with saline water.
