What: 2019 Youth Get-Away

When: April 26-28, 2019

Where: Glorieta Adventure Camp, Glorieta, NM

Theme: Wonderful World of 4-H!

Youth Get-Away is an event for Novice and Junior members, Youth will have the opportunity during the weekend to enjoy workshops on various projects, leadership and teamwork. Youth also participate in sessions, hands-on activities, and attend dances. Senior members have an opportunity to attend this event by serving as camp counselors or a CIT (Counselor In Training).

Registration information, counselor applications and deadline information can be picked up at you County Extension Office. The event is hosted by the State 4-H Officer Team.

Required Training for Chaperones Only...

Glorieta Adventure Camp requires each adult chaperone to receive a training on working with/chaperoning youth at their camp facility. All chaperones attending Youth Get-Away will need to complete the training and quiz in order to attend the event. The training and quiz must be complete by March 29th. If you have issues completing the online quiz, contact your county office.

    1) Each volunteer will either login using a preexisting account or create a username and password at https://campus.extension.org
    2) After logging on, type New Mexico 4-H in the search courses box
    3) Select New Mexico 4-H Working with Minors at Camp
    4) Follow the course instructions for completing the video, final quiz, and receiving the completion certificate
