Darbi Harrington

Major: AXED

Dream Job: My dream job is a question that is still hard for me to answer because I’m not entirely sure. However, as I continue to go through AXED class the more, I realize how much I enjoy working with students. After doing teaching observations, my eyes were opened to the joy that comes with teaching students each day. So as of today, my dream job is teaching agriculture to students, but they may be different if you ask me next week.

Favorite NMSU Experience / What advice do you have for other students? My favorite NMSU experience has been being a part of the ACES Branding Ceremony. After being branded my freshman year, I felt like I was truly apart of this college and that we were all one big team.

Some advice I have for other students is to get involved in clubs and activities on campus at the beginning of the semester. There is a club for everyone, so find something that you enjoy and get involved. It will make transitioning to college life so much easier as well as help you make connections with fellow students and faculty.

Who is your biggest role model? My biggest role model is my dad because he is the strongest, most hard working person I know. He always puts others above himself and does everything he can to help people.

What is your favorite quote? My favorite quote is “A life is not important except in the impact it ahs on other lives” -Jackie Robinson

Favorite music artist: My favorite music artist is Elvis Presley.

Favorite TV Show: My favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy.

Favorite Snack: My favorite snack is grapes.

Favorite extracurricular activity: My favorite extracurricular activity is currently Collegiate FFA. I have only just begun getting involved in the organization before the semester got cut short.

What would your superpower be? My superpower would be teleportation because I always want to travel the world, but I am scared of airplanes.
