Human Nutrition & Dietetic Sciences (HNDS)
Welcome to the Human Nutrition & Dietetic Sciences (HNDS) program in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. We offer programs of study leading to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), as well as various opportunities to obtain a minor that will enhance your educational goals. Our faculty is student-centered with equity, inclusion and diversity amongst our top priorities.
The HNDS program prepares nutrition professionals for positions in community nutrition, clinical care, public health, and food service management. We enjoy the opportunity to work with students and assist in their educational journey and professional growth.

Undergraduate Majors
Bachelor of Science in Pre-Dietetics/Dietetics
The Bachelor of Science in Pre-Dietetics/Dietetics emphasizes dietetics sciences with many foundational science courses. Graduates are able to pursue the registered dietitian credential and work in clinical, community, and a variety of other settings. We maintain accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Eat Right Pro. Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Education
The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Education emphasizes nutrition, health science, and instruction. Graduates will be able to provide education to the community and the general public regarding healthy living and healthy eating.
Minors
The College of Agriculture, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) offers opportunities to obtain a minor that will compliment your degree in HNDS. Additional opportunities outside of the College of ACES may also be available. Please check with your advisor.
