Common name: Marsh Meadow Grasshopper

Size: 13-24 mm.

General distribution: Alaska to Labrador, Canada; S. to North Carolina, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

Distribution in New Mexico: Bernalillo, Colfax, Lincoln, Otero, Roosevelt, Sandoval, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Taos, Torrance.

Habitat: Mountains.

Host: Sedges and grasses.

Adults Present: July-October.

Notes: Males stridulate; brown to greenish grasshoppers, often found in damp situations; tegmina short. Not economically important.
