Common name: Tiny Spur-Throat.

Size: 15-20 mm.

General distribution: S. central Canada to British Columbia, S. to New Mexico.

Distribution in New Mexico: Colfax, Rio Arriba.

Habitat: Mountain grassland.

Host: Grasses, forbs.

Adults Present: August-October.

Notes: Small species with relatively thin boot-shaped male cerci; furcula small; sides of supra-anal plate nearly straight; color brown, yellow, or gray; hind tibiae pale blue; tegmina long. Not economically important.
