Common name: Glaucous-Legged Spur-Throat.

Size: 22-28 mm.

General distribution: Colorado and Kansas, S. to Durango, Mexico.

Distribution in New Mexico: Eastern and central parts of the state.

Habitat: Grassland, mostly hot rocky slopes.

Host: Grasses.

Adults Present: June-October.

Notes: Male cerci broadly expanded; furculae short but distinct; subgenital plate rectangular, wider than high; color brown with distinct lateral pronotal dark stripes; hind tibiae greenish-blue; tegmina about as long as abdomen. Not economically important.
