Common name: Wyoming Toothpick Grasshopper.

Size: 20-29 mm.

General distribution: South Dakota and Wyoming, S. to S. California, W. Texas, and central Mexico.

Distribution in New Mexico: Eastern, central, and southern part of state.

Habitat: Grassland, in more lush grasses in swales and sand hills.

Host: Grasses.

Adults Present: June-October.

Notes: Similar to other Paropomala, except paler, with markings not contrasting, and with tegmina shorter than abdomen. Not economically important.
