Size: 23-37 mm.

General distribution: Utah and Colorado, S. through Arizona and New Mexico to Michoacan, Mexico.

Distribution in New Mexico: Bernalillo, Cibola, Dona Ana, Grant, Hidalgo, Lincoln, McKinley, Otero, Rio Arriba, Sandoval, San Juan, Socorro, Torrance.

Habitat: Open woodland, mostly in gravelly areas.

Host: Unknown.

Adults Present: July-September.

Notes: Differs from T. latifasciata and T. melanoptera in having narrower hind wing bands and from T. californica in lacking a spur on lateral lobes of pronotum. Bands on tegmina distinct; hind femora with distal dark band, inner face with two pale bands; hind tibiae orange. Not economically important.
