Current Job & Responsibilities:
I currently work at the Gaylord Texan, which is managed by Marriott International. The Gaylord Texan is a resort and convention center hotel with 1,814 rooms and over 500,000 square feet of meeting space. My job responsibilities are to oversee the daily operations of our Front Desk, Celebrity Services, Consider It Done (Call Center), Concierge, and work closely with our bell stand/valet. I work closely with every department throughout the hotel since the front desk and call center are responsible for check in, check out, and phone calls to help answer the many questions that are asked by our guests and STAR members on property.

What I Learned From the HRTM Program:
The most valuable thing I gained was the relationships created with colleagues and professors as well as the many networking opportunities provided by the HRTM program.

What I Most Enjoy About My Career:
The thing I enjoy most about my career is being a mentor to all of my associates. Nothing has brought me more joy than seeing former staff progress in their careers.

Memorable Experience:
My most memorable professional experience has been winning Marriott International "Hotel of the Year" at two different properties. Both at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Towncenter in 2016 and the Gaylord Texan in 2019. The other memorable experience that I must add was completing a full hotel renovation, which included the guestrooms, lobby, concierge lounge, meeting space, and restaurant. This was probably the most challenging time up to date in my career but the final product made it all worth it!
