NMSU Fit Families Program

The NMSU Fit Families Program will be held Tuesday evenings, Mar. 19 - Apr. 23, 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., Gerald Thomas Hall. Pre-registration is required. The program began Jan. 29.

Fit Families is a 12-week program that promotes healthy childhood nutrition and increased physical activity. Each session includes: a delicious and nutritious cooking lesson and meal; nutrition information and healthy eating tips; physical activity; goal-setting activities; self-esteem and motivation workshops; and the ability to interact with others. Participating families must have at least one child that is between the ages of 5-12. At least one parent or guardian must attend. The program is free.

The StrongWomen Program

A national evidence-based community exercise and nutrition program targeted to midlife and older women to help maintain muscle mass, strength, and function as they age. The program is open to both women and men of any age. Requires a $10 participation fee as well as a physician's written authorization due at the first class attended. Program runs for 12 weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Eagle Park Community Center in Belen, NM.

This includes your choice of soup or salad, entree, and dessert with iced tea, water, or coffee. Regular lunch seating is on a walk-in basis. However, if you have a group of 8 or more, please contact us to make special arrangements for seating and menu choices.

The Spring 2019 lunches are from Feb. 13 thru May. 3. We will be closed for: Spring Holiday (April 19).

This challenge is designed for those who do not have electronic fitness trackers and even works for the couch potatoes. The Move Your Way goal is to get 30 minutes of exercise a day for 5 days a week. But participants will start where they are at and look at adding more. International Dinner Series - Ristorante Pietro

The HRTM International Dinner Series is one of the most gourmet dining experiences you can have in Las Cruces.

Held on Thursday nights, your evening starts at 6 p.m. with a wine tasting and an hors d’oeuvre reception in our Bobby Lee Lawrence Academy of Wine. Then dinner starts in 100 West Cafe at 6:30 p.m. All are five course meals with specially paired wines. The dinners cost $65 per person.

Seats for all dinners must be purchased in advance. Please come in person to Gerald Thomas Hall Rm. 138 starting on Feb. 5 to purchase your ticket(s). Payment must be made the day dinner tickets are purchased – there are no refunds.

International Dinner Series - Ristorante Pietro

The HRTM International Dinner Series is one of the most gourmet dining experiences you can have in Las Cruces.

Held on Thursday nights, your evening starts at 6 p.m. with a wine tasting and an hors d’oeuvre reception in our Bobby Lee Lawrence Academy of Wine. Then dinner starts in 100 West Cafe at 6:30 p.m. All are five course meals with specially paired wines. The dinners cost $65 per person.

Seats for all dinners must be purchased in advance. Please come in person to Gerald Thomas Hall Rm. 138 starting on Feb. 5 to purchase your ticket(s). Payment must be made the day dinner tickets are purchased – there are no refunds.
