Food Preservation

Pressure Canners can be tested at the Lea County Extension Office, by appointment. It is a good idea, to have your canner tested yearly. Please bring the entire canner (pot, lid, gauge, gaskets, and weights) into the extension office for inspection and testing. We will inspect the canner and test the gauge to ensure a correct reading.
