Lang: Imported by Frank Meyer in 1908. Large, pear-shaped fruit, early to mid-season. One of the best drying cultivars. Best quality when fully ripe or can be left to dry on the tree. Fruit may split if there is rain as fruits mature. Mature trees are upright and almost thornless.
