Dr. Ryan Goss' Turfgrass Research Program
Turfgrass Water Management
The program is conducting various research projects to minimize turfgrass water use for the desert southwest.
Turfgrass management strategies for reduced water use. A graduate student research project designed to determine which management practices can be utilized to minimize required water for various turfgrasses in New Mexico. Irrigation system has been designed and installed in Las Cruces and Farmington to provide a spectrum of applied water over a short distance. Within the research area, supplemental irrigation ranges from 0 to 100% ET replacement.
