Valencia Extension to host fourth Home and Garden Expo
New Mexico State University's Valencia County Extension will present its fourth Home and Garden Expo, from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, at UNM-Valencia Campus.
Keynote speaker Joran Viers, NMSU urban horticulturalist, will speak on the benefits of gardening to open the event.
Participants will be able to choose between two tracks of programs - gardening and the home.
There is no fee for the event, but participants are asked to RSVP by Monday, March 10. Register by calling the Valencia County Cooperative Extension Service office at 505-565-3002. More info...

Kitchen Creations Cooking School
NMSU Cooperative Extension Service is offering a cooking school for people with diabetes. The classes are sponsored by the NM Department of Health and Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Insurance with Presbyterian is not required to attend.
Kitchen Creations is a free series of four classes that help people with diabetes learn how to prepare delicious meals and manage their blood sugar levels.
Kitchen Creations is free of charge to participants. Seating is limited, and priority goes to people who have diabetes. Participants must pre-register by calling the Extension Office at 505-867-2582 by March 5th and plan to attend all four sessions.

Better Process Control School for Acidified Foods Only
This 3-day certification course will be presented at the South Valley Economic Development Center in Albuquerque, NM. This school satisfies the training requirements specified in both the FDA and USDA regulations for Acidified Foods Only.
