The goal of the NRCT Program is to aid students in gaining a broad array of experiences by providing opportunities that will allow them to successfully compete for professional positions with natural resource agencies upon graduation. Consequently, the NRCT Program expects students to apply for summer internship positions with natural resource agencies such as the USDA Forest Service. All applications for summer internship positions with federal agencies are made through the USAJobs website and On Site Hiring Events. Interships in turn are used to boraden the horizons of students while providing meaningful professional experiences.
