Diabetes Self-Management Program
The Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) will be held Thursdays, Jan. 21 - Feb. 18, 9:30 a.m. to Noon, online. The free six-week workshops have been proven to improve health and quality of life for adults with diabetes. Participants will focus on building skills to manage their condition by sharing experiences and providing mutual support. Topics include: managing the symptoms of diabetes; healthy eating; appropriate use of medication and exercise; and working effectively with health care providers. Provided by the NM Department of Health Diabetes Prevention and Control Program and NMSU Cooperative Extension Service.

The Hemp Coffee Hour will be held every two weeks, Mondays, 9 to 10 a.m., online. Specialists will be brought from across the country to talk to us informally about their experiences working with hemp. This is an opportunity for us to learn from hemp researchers and extension specialist who have had experience with growing hemp and working with producers in various capacities. We will be focusing on major issues such as pest management, soil, plant genetics, plant pathogens, extension challenges, water use, etc. This coffee hour is a time for us, as professionals, to work with these specialists and ask candid questions that can help us better serve our stakeholders.
