Las Cruces Tree Stewards Training

The Las Cruces Tree Stewards Training will be held Wednesdays, Oct. 16 to Nov. 20, 8 a.m. to Noon, Frank O'Brien Papen Center, 304 Bell Avenue. Program began Oct. 2.

Training consists of 32 hours and the class is limited to the first 20 applicants. Classes are taught by experienced community professionals, including NMSU Extension faculty member, Marissa Thompson. In exchange for the training, volunteers are asked to commit 40 hours of volunteer service over the next 12 months planting or caring for trees in public spaces or aiding in educational efforts about trees.

International Dinner Series - West Coast

The HRTM International Dinner Series is one of the most gourmet dining experiences you can have in Las Cruces.

Held on Thursday nights, your evening starts at 6 p.m. with a wine tasting and an hors d’oeuvre reception in our Bobby Lee Lawrence Academy of Wine. Then dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. at 100 West Cafe. All are five course meals with specially paired wines. The dinners cost $65 per person.

International Dinner Series - Italian

The HRTM International Dinner Series is one of the most gourmet dining experiences you can have in Las Cruces.

Held on Thursday nights, your evening starts at 6 p.m. with a wine tasting and an hors d’oeuvre reception in our Bobby Lee Lawrence Academy of Wine. Then dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. at 100 West Cafe. All are five course meals with specially paired wines. The dinners cost $65 per person.

Seats for all dinners must be purchased in advance. Please come in person to Gerald Thomas Hall Rm. 138 starting on Aug. 29 to purchase your ticket(s). Payment must be made the day dinner tickets are purchased – there are no refunds.

Parking: Please park in the lot off Knox St. across from (west of) Gerald Thomas Hall. Parking is free after 4:30 pm for our dinners and TAP series. But you will need a permit for the lunches.
